Tufting Workshop Sevilla

What will be awaiting you?

• A tufting workshop in an art studio. Choose between the

  2-hour session (20 x 20 cm), where you can select a design from a catalogue

  or the regular course lasting 3-hour course (40 x 40 cm), where you’ll have the option to create your own design (this must be submitted for review before your chosen workshop date).

• There’s also a 4-hour masterclass (50 x 50 cm) available upon request.

• Plenty of expert tips.

• All necessary materials: a tufting machine and a wide range of coloured vegan wool are provided throughout the workshop.

• 100% vegan wool in beautiful colours.

• A frame prepared with your design so the workshop can begin straight away.

• Workshop in English, German and Spanish.

• For individuals, groups of friends, couples, hen and stag parties, and much more

• (ages 16 and over).

• It’s also ideal for team-building activities, or you can book me to create your own custom rug design featuring your company logo or any other design you’d like

• And a great atmosphere, with the immediate satisfaction of having achieved something which you made :)

Events

1.Your preparation

• If you’ve chosen the ‘Regular’ course (40 x 40 cm), please make sure your design doesn’t have too many curves or too many details. Here’s some inspiration :) This doesn’t apply to walk-in participants :)

• Please send me your design at least two days before our workshop. That way, I can give you my feedback and prepare it so you can start tufting as soon as you arrive.

• If you have any questions about the design, I’ll be happy to help. After all, I’m a graphic designer too :)

2.Workshop session - Process

• Usual opening hours (Standard 40x40cm): 11:00–14:00

• Walk-in (no appointment required) (20x20cm): 15:00–17:00

• An introduction where I’ll explain everything you need to know

• An explanation of the tufting gun

• Choose the (vegan) wool that best suits your design

• Now it’s time to get stuck in: you’ll learn how to create curves and lines using the tufting technique

• After that, you’ll be ready to get started on your design :)

3.Finalised and refined by me

I will take care of the final finishing touches and refinements, as your rug will need at least 2 days to dry, as well as for the further finishing work. If you are traveling we can make other adjusted arrangements for you to take your rug with you or be sent to you with an extra fee which is not included in the workshop price. Let’s chat :)

The following steps are included in the finishing process:

• Cutting the backing fabric

• Gluing the backing fabric

• Machine shearing / trimming (no carving)

Your rug is ready :)

You are welcome to collect it from my studio, or have it sent directly to you within 1–2 weeks. (Postage cost not included)
